I was able to play dvd's I purchased from overseas without any problem, The color on the TV is not as good as as the previous DVD player that I am replacing. But for the price, it is a good value.
It is a very good sytem for a really good price. It takes a while to answer when you open and close the tray but it is a minor inconvenience. This dvd player is great. Works very well and the image is very nice.
Only small complaint is some discs do take a bit to load and start to play. I'm very happy with this reasonable price option to watch multi-region and div-x discs. No issues thus far.
Anyway, I returned it. This played DVDs fine, but I had quite a bit of static when playing regular CDs. Burned CDs were fine (I'm assuming maybe because those were in MP3 format).
All you need to do is to input the region code by typing it on the remote. The great thing about this, however, it's that it can be made to play DVDs from all regions. Search for the code on the internet with the DVD player model number. This is a decent DVD player, nothing too fancy about it. It does not have HDMI connection.
